壬寅虎年，一元初始，万象更新。
即使我们生活中尚有疫情伴随，但孩子们对于中文学习的热情从未动摇。在这辞旧迎新之际，新金山西区中文学校第一学期线上教学如期开展。
周六一大清早，家长和孩子们早已迫不及待地各自忙碌起来。这一边，需要领取纸质教材的家长们早早就在校门口排起队伍来，考虑到新冠防疫安全，大家都互相保持着安全距离并且都佩戴好口罩。整个领书过程自觉有序，忙而不乱。
另一头，孩子们在电脑前聚精会神地学习着中文。有的积极打开麦克风，回答老师的提问，有的认真地记录着上课笔记，还有的仔细练习着新学汉字的书写。课间休息时候，同学们还与老师一起做做肢体伸展操，活动一下手脚，避免较长时间坐在椅子上；低年级的同学还一起学习风靡中国校园的无接触眼保健操，舒缓眼睛对着屏幕的疲劳。大家边学边玩，不亦乐乎！不仅如此，透过镜头孩子们也认识了许多新朋友。
快乐的学习时光总是短暂的，相信同学们的中文水平又有了新的突破。新金山西区中文学校第一学期首周网课顺利结束。让我们共同期待接下来更丰富有趣的直播线上课堂！
Back to school! Have you had online classes today?

As we move into the Year of Tiger, even though our lives are still companied with pandemic, children’s passion for learning Chinese has never wavered. While we said goodbye to the old and welcomed the new, WCLS online classes for Term 1 were carried out as scheduled.
Early this Saturday morning, both parents and children couldn’t wait to start this year’s Chinese classes. Speaking of our parents, those who’d registered to collecte hard copies of textbooks were lining up by the school gate. Everyone kept a safe distance from each other and had their masks on. It was a busy morning, but the whole process was quite organized. On the other hand, children were also busy learning in their online classes. Some were answering teacher’s questions, some were taking class notes, and some were practicing Chinese character-writing. All of them were having so much fun! Besides, they met many new friends over the screens.
Time for fun learning was far from enough! Students must have levelled up their Chinese through today’s lessons. The first online class of Term 1, 2022 has come to an end successfully. We look forward to more interesting live online classes in the future!
